Guided Walking Tour Suspension Bridge Clifton Splendour & City.
Overview
Clifton, a sleepy village in 1700, developed into the ‘Mayfair’ of Bristol. Walk the suspension bridge, view the dramatic ‘Avon Gorge’, Historic Buildings, Grand Terraces, Crescents & Squares, see the Harbour, Banksy’s, University, Museum, that statue, ending at the Cathedral and Centre.
Join your guide, who having moved to Bristol in 1980, attended Bristol Poly (UWE), I have lived, played rugby, worked off and on in the City for 40 years. I am now semi retired, continually research the city as a Hobby and want to give something back to a place I adore. The style is interactive, flexible, light-hearted and personal.

Mike's great delivery of the wealth of information he has on all things Bristol, I was amazed at his knowledge of everything we fitted in. He had a great knack of keeping our attention, pointing out lots street art and even found us a great pub with a good pint and shelter from the weather. I would certainly recommend the tour to anyone, getting the best of the fresh air and lots of steps in, much better than the open bus tours for me.In between storm Eunice and Storm Franklin, the weather could not dampen our spirits from the moment we set off on our tour with Mike. In between storm Eunice and Storm Franklin, the weather could not dampen our spirits from the moment we set off on our tour with Mike. Breathtaking views, interesting history, funny anecdotes and of course a few Banksy's turned this wet and windy day into an exhilarating one enjoyed by our group of 5. I need to go back and visit that chapel in the cliff by the bridge! Already planning the next trip and think we might have to try the Pub tour!Knowledgable and enthusiastic guide made this short tour memorable. Guide went into a lot of detail about the construction of the bridge and brought it to life. Highly recommend. Tour is free with optional tip at the end.

An amazing afternoon had with Mike! A wealth of knowledge around Bristolian history. It was amazing to connect on his experiences in my home country, South Africa, as well. I honestly learned (and retained) so much from this tour. The best views from the Clifton Observatory, amazing insight into the architecture and a wonderful appreciation of the art pieces that make Bristol what it is...Mike was a great guide - knowledgeable and had lots of interesting and quirky info. We had a lovely November day, covering a lot of ground and I feel I now have a real insight into the history of Bristol. Excellent value for money and I’d really recommend Mike’s tours.
