My experience with Gashaw was amazing !!! His extensive knowledge and explanation of the history of Ethiopia along with the places he took us to was nothing short of phenomenal. I was in Ethiopia on a business trip and Unfortunately I only had one personal day but I’m so glad I decided to spend that day touring with Gashaw. If I return I plan on booking with him again so that he could show me around other areas and sites. Thank you so much for your hospitality Gashaw!Gashaw is amazing. I contacted Gashaw from Aspire Ethiopia Tours via Whatsapp and he responded immediately with my requests and price. I wanted a guide who spoke Spanish because one of the members didn't speak English. He arranged one. He would meet us at the airport but I had already made an appointment with the hotel so I dismissed this service and punctually he and the guide Wendessen were waiting for us at the reception. We did exactly the planning and very smooth. We’d have lunch at the oldest hotel/restaurant and it was buffet but it was late so I asked to go to another one and they promptly took us. Having coffee at Tomoca was one of the highlights of my tour and they took us to two branches. Wendessen's Spanish was very good, he lived in Cuba, he graduated in veterinary medicine but due to the difficulties he ends up being a tourist guide. I loved the tour with these two guides. I will repeat for sure and go more inland in the country.I had an unexpected layover - and how lucky! I had an unexpected layover - and how lucky! I emailed and had an excellently knowledgeable, relaxed, friendly guide Gashaw take me around Addis. I learnt more about the history, politics, religions, markets and COFFEE than I even knew was there! It’s true, you can’t judge a city from inside a car - getting to know and experience the local people completely shifts your paradigm - I want to go back again and have Gashaw show me the whole country! For me, nervously booking a tour guide, I didn’t think I’d end up with a friend for life!I was on my way to Dubai and had a 16 hour layover in Addis Ababa. I was on my way to Dubai and had a 16 hour layover in Addis Ababa. Gashaw met me at the airport and was knowledgeable, considerate, and enthusiastic about showing me this incredible city. He answered every question I threw at him, maximized my time, and was enthusiast in his descriptions and engaging as a storyteller. I left Ethiopia with a desire to return and a new friend. I would absolutely recommend his tours to anyone who wants to explore Ethiopia.
