It was our first time kayaking as a family unit. We rented two tandem kayaks and set off. Once we passed the center marsh island, the breeze started and, instantly, I was transported to an adventure on the water. We paddled down to the beach. Along the way, we saw a couple of dolphins swimming side by side and a little later, a fish jumped out of the water. On the way back, we let the current do some of the work and used the oars to steer. Overall, very enjoyable and well worth the visit. Thanks to the two guys who helped us out. They’re very courteous and knowledgeable. Our host was enthusiastic, explained all safety aspects of the trip we we going on and also thoroughly explained the map pointing out points of interest we should explore. It made out mother/daughter excursion a great adventure.

Recently visited this location during spring break. We rented two doubles and a single for our family of 5 with young kids. Easy access to conveniently get in and out of kayaks from dock area. Had a few options for self guided paddle route to take. Opted to go toward bungie beach to get out and stretch with kids and then through mangrove tunnel. Saw the impact of the hurricane and beauty behind it with greenness showing on the backside of the mangroves. Staff was so kind and helpful will totally be back next time we are in the Fort Myers area
