Half-Day Thoroughbred Horse Farm Tour in Kentucky
Overview
You will visit a private farm that is exclusive to us and has had winners of both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes and will have two in the Derby this year!
During the off season from November 12th through March 10th a minimum of 4 guests are required to do a tour.

Stop At: Magdalena Farm, division of McPeek Racing, 2651 Russell Cave Rd, Lexington, KY 40511, USA
Experience a walking tour to see thoroughbred mares, foals and race horses. This farm is owned by a very well known trainer who has the favorite filly for the 2020 Kentucky Oaks.
Tours will alternate between Magdalena and Old Friends.

Stop At: Keeneland Association Inc, 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510, USA
Step out and enjoy a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. During the race meets in April and October we do not go to Keeneland on the 12:30 pm tours Wednesday through Sunday. Instead the tour will add Old Friends farm in place of Keeneland.

- Bottled water or covered drinks allowed
- Collapsible wheelchairs can be accommodated providing the passenger is with someone that can assist them board and disembark
- Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
- November 12th - March 10th: Minimum numbers of 4 guests are required to run tour.
- Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional, or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury of participation in farm animal activities. "There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities." "By purchasing ticket/s you agree that Thoroughbred Heritage Tours is not liable for any injuries or death that may occur due to participating in a farm animal activity in Kentucky".
- There is no age limit but a ticket is required for all children. It is not recommended for children under six. Kentucky State Law requires infants and/or toddlers must be in a car seat, rear facing until 2 years of age. Children younger than 8 years old and between 40 and 57 inches must be in a booster. Children younger than 8 but taller than 57 inches do not have to ride in a booster seat.
- No animals including service animals allowed on the tours
- Kentucky is now mask free but please feel free to wear a mask if you desire.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 13 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

So much history and background on the area and horse breeding and racing. The Keenland racecourse was excellent and the hands on tour of the horse farm was a highlight.
