We enjoyed our private guided tour of the Giza pyramid complex. Our guide Ahmed met us at our hotel and had a driver in a very clean and new car. We arrived at the pyramids in the early morning and luckily were provided lots of cold bottles water as it was very hot and crowded. Ahmed provided very clear explanations of the pharaohs and the history of each pyramid, accompanying us and taking photos along the way. He has an easy-going manner and good sense of humour. The tour ran for around 3 hours and wasn’t too heavy going in terms of content. My only complaint was that after the pyramids we made several unrequested stops at tourist shops before returning to the hotel. If you are into souvenir shopping this may appeal, but be prepared for high-pressure sales techniques. Overall I recommend the tour but be aware of the extras.Everything we hoped a trip to the Pyramids would be. Our guide, Wael, picked us up at our hotel exactly on time. Everything we hoped a trip to the Pyramids would be. Our guide, Wael, picked us up at our hotel exactly on time. Got us water bottles and drove us straight to the Pyramids. We got the all-inclusive package and would recommend it so that you don't have to worry about waiting in line for tickets at the gate. Wael was well-spoken and very knowledgeable. He's also a great photographer! He helped us take photos at all of the best angles. Also, his English is basically perfect, so no need to worry about that. He was able to answer every question I had for him. We got to ride the camels with our package and we're so glad we did. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it but it turned out to be a really fun moment. (They're much taller than you might think!) The included lunch was also really yummy. We got to sit with our guide and learn more about life in Egypt. Was very glad that this tour didn't include stops to unnecessary shops that guides usually push on you because they get a commission. Wael was also very helpful at stopping scammers from taking advantage of us. We always felt secure which I'm very grateful for because this was our big day in Cairo. The day went exactly as planned and we wouldn't change a thing. Thanks, Wael!Ghada is a fantastic tour guide and low-key professional photographer!! We had a lovely time with her.
