What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Hanalei Bay, Kauai, HI
Slip into Hanalei River from our own private dock. We will head down stream sharing history of the Hanalei river & getting comfortable in our kayaks before heading out into Hanalei Bay where we spend the majority of our time. There we check out our Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu) before heading over to the beach where we will land our kayaks and take everyone out snorkeling (45 mins). Guides will share modern day reef ecology and point out what to look for while snorkeling. After snorkeling we provide Hawaiian snacks & drinks, sit, hang out, & answer any questions you may have about our island. Our guides take great pride in sharing their island knowledge.
This tour has an 2pmcheck in time and runs from 2; 30pm-6pm. We will fit you for snorkel gear (you are welcome to bring your own full set of gear or a full set will be provided(no mix & match of gear). Full face masks not permitted on tour.

- Must be at least 5 years of age to participate. Participants under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Participants are welcome to use their personal snorkel gear with the exception of full face snorkel masks. Full Face Snorkel Masks are not permitted on tour. All participants are required to use a traditional 2 piece snorkel and mask set.
- Pregnant travelers 30 months or less are welcome to participate
- All participants must be in good physical health, can paddle on their own, & get in/out of kayak on their own without assistance
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 16 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

What an amazing tour, Gabe was an incredible tour guide. Wouldn’t have been the same without him. And the snorkeling is the best I’ve ever seen. Would not come back to Kauai without doing it again definitely made the trip.

Our guide, Gabe, was outstanding. He started out with a "meet and greet" where all the participants learned a little about each other; he provided excellent instructions and suggestions; he stopped along the way giving insights and education about local flora and fauna, and Hawaiian lore; he gave attentive assistance to all of us, as needed. And, he was very warm and friendly. As a senior citizen, by myself, Gabe was especially sensitive to my needs and concerns. The kayaking was fun and beautiful; the snorkel experience was wonderful: lots of fish and turtles!Our family of 3 had an absolutely fantastic time on this afternoon outing with Kayak Hanalei! Kayaking down the river was so relaxing, and we all really enjoy the stories Kolo told us of the history of the area, and the sea life we would likely encounter on our trip. Going into Hanalei bay was magical and the snorkeling was fantastic. We saw so many beautiful fish and several turtles - just a few feet away! Our family did the afternoon kayak and snorkeling trip. Gabriel, our guide was fabulous. In addition to teaching us about kayaking, he taught us about Hawaiian history and nature. He took several photos of the group paddling and surprised us with them at the end of our tour. The snorkeling was some of the best we did on our entire trip. We saw numerous sea turtles and many species of fish. Our guide knew all the best places on the reef.The history of the area was remarkable, the kayaking was good but not overly exhausting and the sea life during the snorkeling was amazing with giant turtles, a small shark and lots of colorful and beautiful smaller fish. Great guides!
