Healing & Wellness at the Mushroom Forest - 3 Nights
Overview
We will indulge in different healing processes and practices: forest bathing, yoga, meditation, temazcal, bio-dinamic diet, hikes and walks, waterfall cleansing, and, pure simple contemplation. Find peace of mind in this time and space.
The cabins are built with natural materials. The food comes from the ecological land. Wood from the forest for the chimney fire inside your cabin. As the weather changes 9 times a day, the sun, the moon, the stars come a little closer. This is the place where dreams and fairytales come to life.
Cabins are located in a paradisiac land, overlooking the mountains and often above the clouds. The perfect place to heal and connect with yourself and nature.

Wow! A life changing experience. And so well orchestrated! Fernando and Melanie are awesome: kind, organized, helpful. There's no electricity, so take a phone bank charger if you are addicted to your cell phone. Also, a down sleeping bag might be a good idea cuz it gets cold at night in the mountains (7400 feet). Take a good rain jacket as well--the mushrooms only grow during the raining season. It is cold and wet but beautiful in the mountains. You have to build a fire to heat the water for your shower, but the heaters are very efficient so it's not an onerous task to do. It is very rustic. The temazcal is a little on the scary side, especially for a geezer like me who has never done a sweat lodge experience, but really powerful and an excellent wrap-up to the trip. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat--in fact, I am going to do it again.I’ve done multiple trips with the Coyote crew and think the world of them. The 3 night/4 day adventure to the Healing Mushroom Forest in San Jose del Pacifico was incredible and I would highly recommend it. Coyote Adventuras did a great job at organizing everything, the accommodations, the food, a temeczal sweat lodge ceremony, hikes, yoga, and more. The cabins are rustic and have limited WiFi, electricity, and hot water, which allowed me to disconnect for a while and enjoy the incredible nature of the forest of SJdP. The property is very large and well kept, with gardens growing their own food, which they cook for you in the on-site restaurant (all vegan). It gets cold at night so bring warm clothing! We were able to go into town a few times and enjoy meals there as well (non vegan options available), shop, and enjoy the quaint little town. Whether you choose to take mushrooms or not, this adventure will offer you some great time away from the rushed lifestyle and an opportunity for some healing and personal transformation. I highly recommend it and I would go back in a heartbeat. Coyote Adventuras is very professional and the guides are amazing people and easy to connect with. Thanks to my guide Fernando for making my time in San Jose DP magical and healing. The mushroom tour with Coyote Aventuras was a lifetime experience! The mushroom tour with Coyote Aventuras was a lifetime experience! If you are a spiritual seeker ready for a major change, stunning San José del Pacífico is the perfect setting to transform yourself (my only advice is to avoid taking mushrooms just for fun and to show due respect to these amazing living creatures). This tour has lots to offer whether you want to walk/hike surrounded of gorgeous mountains, practice yoga, meditate, write or read in peace, go for a temazcal, chill at your cozy cabin curled by the fireplace, lie in a hammock, eat amazing fresh food, drink hot chocolate or mezcal when it gets cold, have a mushroom trip, explore downtown or just feel the energy of the place. Thanks to the beautiful seekers who joined the July 15-18 tour, to our cool guide Fernando who cared for us and to all the Coyote gang for offering top-notch adventures in magical Oaxaca. I also took the Teotitlán tour and, as expected, had lots of fun. Definitely, go for it!The healing and wellness trip was an unforgettable experience. This experience was life changing. The mountains and waterfalls were the perfect backdrop for deep contemplation and a healing space. We went on long hikes though beautiful terrain and I’ve never felt so in touch with nature or myself. The yoga and meditation started the day with a peaceful intention that ruminated throughout the trip. I personally loved that all the food was plant based and grown only a few feet away from our cabin, everything was delicious; even my meat loving boyfriend thought it was amazing! My advice would be to bring some warm clothes as it does get colder at night, but after sunset the fire place in our log cabin was lit and this made it even more magical. Fernando was an incredible guide, very in tune, perceptive and humble. I know doing this experience with him elevated our trip greatly and there’s no doubt we’ll come back again! Do not deprive yourself of this experience!! Ps mushrooms not a must at all :))
