As if to make the place sacred, and halfway on the path that leads to the summit, an enormous rock carved by the man who knew how to highlight the existing natural profile.

PU TO KATIKI
The summit of the peninsula. Very easy to access, the small crater and its surroundings suit you with the Dantesque landscapes of the entire right side of the island, from one end to the other of Rapa Nui.

AHU KAVA KAVA KIOE
Only a few Moai do not come from the flanks of the Rano Raraku, the quarry. The ones we admire here are lighter and denser rock. Lying on the ground, scattered around the remains of a platform, some details are still well marked.

PAPA ’UI HETU’U
In the continuity of the previously visited platform, descending towards the cliffs and the ocean as far as the eye can see, stands a large stone, cut by the ancients: representation of the Pleiades constellation.

Stop At: Ana O Keke, Camino Vaitea Anakena, s/n Close to the landmark Easter Island Eye, Easter Island Chile
Above the waves of the Pacific, truly on the cliff side, a cave linked to the cult of the bird man which took place opposite the island. This is where the young girls for Tangata Manu were prepared. Wall art.

MOTU TOREMO HIVA
And to end your hike, lying there in front of a platform that crumbles below, the head of Moai buried, guardian of the place.

David nous a parfaitement raconté l'hi...
