You will get to see the mountains of Puerto Rico, the country side of the island, the culture, eat the local food, be with and among the locals, swimming in waterfalls, hiking in the forest etc. Travel comfortably in a 14-passenger, air-conditioned van, 1700 ft above sea level into the mountains of Puerto Rico (approximately a 40-50 minute drive from San Juan). This hike IS NOT in the rainforest.
The only people that know about this spot are the locals. This trail is approximately 40-60 minutes long, depending on your fitness level. This Adventure has everything that you look for on a hike, including; climbing over trees, jumping over bodies of water, walking over fallen trees etc…
Once we arrive at this breathtaking waterfall, you will have plenty of time to explore and take a dip in the gorgeous waters! The last stop is at an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant to enjoy a late lunch or early dinner (at your own expense). After our meal, we then will bring you back to San Juan!

My sister and I went on this tour with Jesus. Jesus was an excellent guide. I felt extremely safe and comfortable the entire time. The waterfall was gorgeous! We spent plenty of time there. The hike up and back is mostly rock so it can be a bit difficult. Jesus told us all about the history of Puerto Rico - I really appreciated that! Then on the way home we stopped for authentic Puerto Rican food - family style. The food was fabulous! Fyi - the gusts split the cost, but was less than $20 each. Truly a wonderful day! Thank you Jesus! This review is a little late… we actually went September 2018. My wife and I came to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon and had such an incredible time in this adventure! This review is a little late… we actually went September 2018. My wife and I came to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon and had such an incredible time in this adventure! We talk about it ALL the time and realized we never actually left Jerry a review! Jerry was the most incredible tour guide we’ve ever had. He was very friendly, has a huge and very kind personality, extremely accommodating, and made this experience so memorable. He picked us up from the apartment we were staying at and had a great chat on our drive to the hike. He was very informative as we asked questions about Puerto Rico all along the way. The area he normally takes people on was unfortunately closed due to a recent hurricane, but he took us on a different hike that was very beautiful. After the hike he took our group to get food. He was helping the waiters the whole time deliver food and drinks to our table. This is an adventure we will always remember! From the tour guide to the beauty of Puerto Rico and everything in between, I couldn’t recommend this adventure enough.TL;DR: Amazing, uncrowded views, trust your experienced driver, fun yet challenging hike, breathtaking waterfalls, delicious food, the best guide around! TL;DR: Amazing, uncrowded views, trust your experienced driver, fun yet challenging hike, breathtaking waterfalls, delicious food, the best guide around! We had an amazing time! Jesus picked us up and took us to the first stop. The roads are very windy, but trust your driver, we did not feel unsafe at any point. We got to learn a lot about the ecology of Puerto Rico, Taínos, and the island culture. Our first stop was an amazing view at the top of the mountain! We then headed to the hike. Jesus was very patient with us but still encouraged us to challenge ourselves. I would recommend this hike for those who are fairly athletic and have good balance. There was not any pavement, though there is a clear trail you are following. There are also plenty of footholds on rocks and some ropes for you to hold onto on sections that require more balance. The last push to the waterfall does require climbing the side of the rocks, which was the scariest part for us but 1000% worth it. The waterfall is breathtaking, photos will NOT do it justice. It was only my partner and I on the tour, we had the entire waterfall and pool to ourselves. Jesus was awesome and took photos and videos of us so we could take in the moment and not worry about our phones. We hiked back to the van and went on a short drive to the restaurant. The food was delicious with a diversity of Puerto Rican foods to try, with some foods for less adventurous eaters (white rice and chicken, which was still very delicious). Jesus was a great guide, very fun and friendly but still looked out for us and was very knowledgeable of the history of the island and how the land changes day to day. Way less crowded than other tours and so fun, highly recommend. In 2016, my son and I did a rainforest tour with Jerry. He is so effervescent that I searched for him for this 2023 trip. In 2016, my son and I did a rainforest tour with Jerry. He is so effervescent that I searched for him for this 2023 trip. My daughter (19) and myself (48) chose the hidden waterfall. Manuel was our amazing tour guide who kept us safe and happy. This is a real hike over boulders, under trees, and up steep terrain. Not for the uncoordinated or timid, but absolutely amazing for those who persevere. We even bumped into Jerry at our amazing food destination. It was fun reminiscing over amazing local cuisine. I cannot say enough good things about Jerry’s Adventures and all of his guides. Highly recommend any trip they offer.
