We spend 6 days hiking in Nuratau Mountains (hiking tour to Hayat, Uhum and Asraf villages, yurt stay and Lake Aydarkul) and did a 3 days trekking tour in Chimgan Mountains in september 2022. Both trips were great and very well organized. As well as very different, we saw a lot of typical scenery and had a good impression of the life in the mountains. Always really good food, great quality and traditional dishes. Thanks a lot to our guides Nuriddin and Barlan and of course to our donkeys in Chimgan Mountains. All of them did a great job in difficult conditions! The price was really reasonable for this quality of individual trekking tour! We warmly recommand Responsible Travel for his trekking and hinking tours in the Mountains of Uzbekistan. Thanks to Sherzod we were able to organise the trip last minute. Thanks to Sherzod we were able to organise the trip last minute. He was very responsive, helpful and arranged everything for us. Our guide Sherali spoke english very well and told us a lot about the culture, people and the history of the villages. He was incredibly flexible and went above and beyond to make our trip special. We had a great time going exploring Nurata mountains, staying at the homestays and even had a chance to view the game of kupkari. We were very lucky to spend our time in his company, we've seen and learnt a lot about the place and are very grateful for his kindness and professionalism! The hiking your in Nuratau mountains was excellent, I could not hope for a better experience. The hiking your in Nuratau mountains was excellent, I could not hope for a better experience. From the pick up, to the guide, the guesthouses, the food, everything was excellent. You have the chance to see how the locals live, interact with them and their beautiful children, enjoying the relaxing surroundings while exporing the mountains. Special thanks goes to my guide, Sherali, a very knowledgeable and kind person from whom you can learn a lot not just about the mountains but about the uzbeki culture. I totally recommend this tour to everyone, the kindness of people and the tranquility of the mountains will empower your spirit and your soul. The trip was extremely well organised, and our guide, the driver and the hosts in the guesthouses were very nice and helpful. We got a great insight in the way of people's lives in the valleys, in the amazing variety of nature and also in ancient culture (we took a glimpse at the stoneages). Alibek, our guide, made sure that we felt comfortable while hiking, we learned a lot from him about the history and the surroundings, and the food in the guest houses was delicious. We are vegetarians and the dishes provided were much better for vegetarians than in the cities. Thank you so much for giving these wonderful four days to us!The communication with Responsible Travel before the trip was very easy and constructive. The communication with Responsible Travel before the trip was very easy and constructive. They adjusted the multi-day hike to a 3-day trip so that it fit our itinerary. The trip itself was great, everything worked smoothly from pickup, to the guided hike to the drop-off. When we got hungry along the drive, the driver brought us to a restaurant in his hometown on the way which resulted in one of the best meals in our whole trip (delicious Samsa in Jizzach). The hike with our competent and funny English speaking guide Sardor was great. We saw and learned a lot and felt welcome and safe at all times. The two homestays we stayed at were a highlight of our Uzbekistan trip. Super welcoming families with commnicative kids who genuinely enjoyed spending some time with us. We played some games, made a drawing and just had a good time. I would recommend this trip to everyone with modest fitness and interest in learning about rural life. The experience of a lifetime!
