My husband and I had an amazing time with Georgia on this tour! It was so fun to see Cairns through the lens of the hipster influence. She introduced us to so many cool restaurants, shops and murals that we never would have known about on our own! Georgia has out a lot of time and effort into organizing everything. I'm excited to explore all of the places she showed us now that I'll be living in Cairns for a month. Definitely take the time to go on this tour, it will be a highlight of your trip to Cairns!I mean as a local, I knew Cairns was good but now I’ve seen it through a different lense altogether. This tour is brilliant as Georgia’s passion for the history and culture of Cairns shines a whole new light on the city. It really is a wonderful way to spend an hour and a half and for such a great price; accessible for everyone. Hipster or not, you’re going to love the hidden gems that Georgia will reveal to you as you cruise the streets of this beautiful Cairns. Only one negative I need to mention: I just had to go back and spend some money in the new shops and delicious eateries that we popped into!!!! Loved every minute Georgia! As a Cairns local, I was a little sceptic to this tour at first, mainly because I could never place my perception of 'hipster' together with Cairns. I ended up absolutely loving the tour, thanks to Georgia's incredibly open, grounded nature which makes anyone feel at home in her company. Georgia herself is one of the hidden gems of this tour, with extensive knowledge of the back alleys of Cairns and what's going on in the city. I learned an incredible amount about the town and was able to discover new sights and hotspots to explore thanks to her. This city has long deserved this kind of activity, where locals and tourists can meet, where tourists can get to know the city, and where locals can re-discover their hometown. A definite must, for anyone, when in the city.Georgia definitely got the type of energy a person needs in order to run engaging walking tours. Georgia definitely got the type of energy a person needs in order to run engaging walking tours. With a nerdescé level of knowledge, coupled with the laid back approach that makes Cairns what it is, she provides participants with an engaging and informative tour. A hipster myself, I especially delighted in her theories on localised hipsterness. Only thing missing from the tour was a micro brewery, but apparently those aren't included in the index developed by the 'murican relocation company that places Cairns as hipster spot number two in Straya.
