Hiroshima/A-bombed Tram No.653 Entry ＆Peace Memorial Park VR Tour

On August 6, 1945, the city of Hiroshima was reduced to a charred wasteland by a single atomic bomb. The streetcars, the symbolic means of transportation for the people of Hiroshima, were also devastated and all lines were suspended. However, due to the indomitable efforts of those involved, only three days later, some sections were restored and operations resumed. The train that survived the atomic bombing was called the “Bombed Train” and became a symbol of reconstruction. Three A-bombed trains still exist today. Among these wonderful trains, we will specially charter the 653, which reproduces the color of the car at that time.

From Hiroshima Station, take the Atomic Bomb Train to Atomic Bomb Dome Station. You can tour the A-bombed buildings while listening to explanations from the guides and monitors installed in the car.

Stop At: Ground Zero, 1-5-25 Otemachi Naka-ku, Hiroshima 730-0051 Hiroshima Prefecture

The first atomic bomb in human history exploded about 600 meters above this place. Directly below the hypocenter, most people died instantly from exposure to heat rays, blast waves, and radiation at temperatures of approximately 3, 000 to 4, 000 degrees Celsius.

You will walk to the Hiroshima City Peace Memorial Park Rest House, where you will experience the transition from before the atomic bombing to the present in Hiroshima in VR, and learn about the events that occurred in the center of Hiroshima City near the hypocenter.

It is a building that was bombed by nuclear weapons used for the first time in human history at the end of World War II. A guide will guide you through the Atomic Bomb Dome, which remains almost exactly as it was when the atomic bomb was dropped.
