We came straight from the airport before we could check in to our hotel, and Handlebar Bike Tours had a locked space for us to leave luggage. They are actually located in the parking garage at Grand Central Market, but they meet you on the street as the tour starts there, and there are many things to see right from the start. We were the only ones on the morning Historic Core tour, so we had a private tour ;) It was a nice, easy ride for a jet lagged couple with lots of info and nice bikes. We got back, had lunch, and then it was time to check in to our hotel. A perfect first day. We wanted to come back for the Arts District tour, but had to fly out unfortunately.I am a Los Angeles native and had already seen many of the points of interest on this tour. I am a Los Angeles native and had already seen many of the points of interest on this tour. But, taking this delightful guided tour added so much to my knowledge of the city--besides the fact that I saw many spots I hadn't before. The bikes are fantastic, we're looking into buying a couple for ourselves. Our guide, Jennifer, was super knowledgable and clearly a lover of the city. She was attentive, patient, and very in tune with our madcap group of seven. She paid attention to our personalities and our abilities and tailored the experience accordingly. I would highly recommend this tour to absolutely everyone, and we're getting ready to book another one that takes us through the arts district. This was THE BEST way to see downtown. The terrain is really flat so anyone that can ride a bike can do this. Jen (my tour guide) was knowledgeable and super nice. We went down Broadway observing some of the very cool architecture. Hit Olvera Street (which I remember from school trips in the 70s)...

We went down Broadway observing some of the very cool architecture. Hit Olvera Street (which I remember from school trips in the 70s) and Chinatown. Just a great circuit which was so easy to see and experience by bike. I loved this trip.Great tour guide! Very knowledgeable- interesting stories and info. Very safe and easy to follow, hear.
