My son loves trains so a train trip is a must on any holiday, so we went to Herberton to ride the train and the village was going to be secondary. The train ride was great but the village was amazing. At the front door I thought the entry price might be a bit steep however I was wrong. For what’s there it’s cheap as some of the items on display are worth a lot of money and the up keep wouldn’t be cheap. There’s even a wonderful kids playground which looks new and the facilities are so tidy and clean. The downside is we didn’t allocate enough time to see everything so I would recommend at least a few hours. As mentioned by others it’s a three day pass which is awesome however it’s a bit to far to drive back with the kids even though this kid wanted to do it. Well worth the trip. There is a reason they offer a complimentary 3 day pass. It truly would take 3 days to see and experience everything. What an amazing place! The rich history and countless pieces from a bygone era will leave any traveller overwhelmed and wanting to learn more.

We will be back!It takes more than a day to see it. Only wish we had more time. It's like walking through a portal into the past. I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in history or who was born in the last century.

This place is on a level of excellence I haven't experienced before. Immaculately kept parks and gardens perfect for family picnics. Great family experience needing a full day, without kids 2 days to soak up whats on offer.
