I took a guided tour of the museum, school house replica and home. The docent was very knowledgeable and enthused about Fort Lauderdale’s history. She just had a wealth of information to share. The location is on the Riverwalk which is beautiful. It was manageable to walk. The museum has three floors with stairs to climb. There are artists in residence which was also fun. I really enjoyed my visit and plan to return. The guide was awful. Do the river walk instead. She didn’t relate to what was there and didn’t put things in perspective.
