Hanh was our guide throughout the tour. She is a wonderful, friendly person and she was able to answer all of our questions. The tour starts with a short walk through the market to buy fresh and local food for the cooking class. She explains everything that you need to know about the ingredients. We also bought different fruits to try. Then we did a boat ride with a basket boat and crab fishing, which was also a lot of fun (we put the crabs back into the water afterwards). We had five courses for the cooking class, she explained it very well and we are looking forward to cook the recipes at home. The food was honestly the best one we had in Vietnam. You should definitely try it. On top you will get a homemade brownie and homemade ice-cream from their very own bakery. Our experience with Long Coconut boat and cooking class was great. Our experience with Long Coconut boat and cooking class was great. The woman who gave us the cooking class was really nice and helpful and made the experience very enjoyable. We got to eat all of the food we made and there was a lot. We made 6 different dishes in total including rice pancakes, fresh spring rolls, chicken stir fry, beef and pork salad and roasted egg plant. The boat tour was also really enjoyable, we got a a boat ride in a basket boat through the lake which was surrounded by bamboo trees. We also did a bit of crab fishing. Would really recommend Eco Discovery. What a brilliant experience. I loved every minute. I've done many tours of this type, but this one was top class. Great attention to detail, and every part of the experience feels like a full activity. Wouod highly recommend to everyone!

Taxi picked us up at 8:30 am, we went straight to a local food market in Hoi An to buy shrimps, rice paper, herbs, meat and lots of vegetables. We also tried fresh fruits. Then we went on to Tram’s place near the river and dropped of the groceries, did a fun boat tour close by and returned to Tram’s lovely place for the cooking session. Cooking started around 11am. We were lucky and had a “private cooking” class as not many tourists are around these days (who want to learn cooking.) We prepared six different dishes (including the popular crispy rice cakes with shrimps/beef/vegetables, spring rolls, fresh salad, vegetable bbq, made own dip with fish sauce…). Instruction was very good, Tram also assisted. Make sure you know how to use chopsticks before the class :) We also got lots of water while cooking. All dishes can be switched to vegetarian dishes, some also to vegan. All in all, our food was delicious and fresh and easy to prepare. Good for beginners. I had a lovely day.
