We all felt comfortable riding on the busy roads because of Erik’s instructions and inclusion in everything he did. The tour itself is brilliant and you learn a lot of details you could not possibly do without a guide. Fantastic way to see Hollywood! We saw so much that we would have missed on a bus or if we'd had to drive and park. Our guide, Erik, was top notch and his love of the city was infectious. If you've never taken a bike tour, I highly recommend it because you're up close and personal with the city. ...
Fantastic way to see Hollywood! We saw so much that we would have missed on a bus or if we'd had to drive and park. Our guide, Erik, was top notch and his love of the city was infectious. If you've never taken a bike tour, I highly recommend it because you're up close and personal with the city. We pulled over frequently to see cool stuff. Erik was very knowledgeable about the history and people of this great town. We were able to stop at the original Farmers market for a quick bite, as well as enjoy street food on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so bring cash if you want treats. A word of warning: you must be comfortable riding a bike to enjoy this tour. Erik did everything possible to keep us safe, but this is not a secluded tour on a designated bike trail. While parts of the trail are very peaceful and go through neighborhoods, other stretches require riding in the street with busy traffic. I rode with my 16-year-old who did just fine, but I would be wary about taking young children. Note #2: we upgraded to e-bikes for the first time. I'm glad we did and it was worth the extra cost. E-bikes give you a powerful boost up hills and ensure that you can keep up. Even though we are all in good shape, 3+ hours is a long time to ride a bike if you're not used to it. I recommend this tour and Erik to any out of towners who want a great L.A. experience.Carol_S
