Loved this day, the Hop On team were awesome, so knowledgeable about the area, it really added to how beautiful everything is already to understand more about it! Getting around Banff can be a little stressful in peak times, but it was good to just leave the car at home and let someone else take care of getting us to the most beautiful spots. The bus let you avoid the busy traffic and you don’t have to worry about parking. It wasn’t a hop on and hop off bus as some people may expect. It is more of a designated pickup at specific times. A person has time to see and do things at each stop. They advise that you are always guaranteed a seat, because you schedule your trip and how long you’re going to be at each spot. The glacier fed lakes are beautiful colors, so blue /teal or green, with mountains surrounding them. Just a wonderful time.My husband and I visited Banff as part of our Glacier N.P. trip. My husband and I visited Banff as part of our Glacier N.P. trip. It is beautiful and this tour is the BEST way to see it. The tour takes you to the sites you choose from the itinerary, drops you off for the amount of time you will need to see it, then picks you up to take you to the next attraction. We saw just about everything we wanted to see, no traffic or parking drama, and the guides were OUTSTANDING. They give you the inside info from a local's perspective so you can get the most from your visit. This really made our trip. Can't say enough good things about it. Other patrons on the bus (a small bus, so you don't feel mashed into a pack) were great too.If you want to actually go and visit Moraine lake (just give up thinking you can do it by car: almost impossible). Hop on hop off bus get you in every single location u need without waiting time, very convenient and 100% worth the money Make sure to book early!

After reading other reviews about the problem with parking and long waits for shuttles, even though we had a rental car, we decided to book the Hop On Hop Off Bus in Banff. Best decision we made! We were staying in Canmore, but had plenty of time to drive to Banff Train Station and park to catch the bus at 7:45. First stop was Johnston Canyon, next Lake Louise, and last Lake Morraine. Felt we had plenty of time at each stop and appreciated all the information about the different stops and area from our bus tour guides. Added bonus of the day was meeting a very couple from Toronto and spending the day with them. We had considered a more expensive tour. So glad we opted for this one!
