What to expect
The plan we offer you is to begin the journey having a country breakfast at a local breeder while the horses are being saddled and bridled. You can do it yourself if you wish.
Once we have finished with breakfast we start the excursion: we make our way through the Maipo River, ride among the vineyards, we enjoy the wonderful views from the hills, we listen to the pure song of nature and we stop now and then to drink from streams of clean and fresh water. In all, we fully enjoy this idyllic spot. And as a bookend, we will delight you with a country grill and excellent wine next to an open fire.
After the country grill, let´s visit Miraflores organic winery and have a tasting.
Once inside the vineyard, your guide will explain you the facts that make this historic winery so interesting. Its past, some Chilean traditions and Miraflores Organic winery present state.
Through the tour, you can walk in between the grape vines, the old estate house and the cellar, so you can immerse yourself in the organic wine agriculture. At the organic vineyard, We will tell you about its development, how it evolves and the technology behind that finally make Miraflores organic wine so excellent.
Natural cultivation of the grape vines, with minimal human intervention, results in healthy and mature grapes, a high quality raw material for Miraflores line of organic wines. While walking inside the cellar, you will also be able to see some machines that where used in the wine making process during the winery´s early years and taste the Cabernet Sauvignon wine.

Excelente día pase junto a mi pareja. El paseo a caballo lo mejor por lejos. La cata de vinos la hicimos en la viña Undurraga, una de las mejores del mundo.

This was truly an experience of a lifetime for me! Felipe picked me up from the hotel and brought me to Isla de Maipo. This was truly an experience of a lifetime for me! Felipe picked me up from the hotel and brought me to Isla de Maipo. We started with a yummy breakfast in a neighborhood tea shop and then continued over to meet up with Mario, my cowboy guide for the horseback riding. I love horses and this was a dream come true for me. Mario led us from his home through a forest and across the Maipo river then through vineyards. I am comfortable riding horses but not an expert and I must say that these horses are very gentle and easy to ride. Mario and Felipe are very knowledgeable and evaluated my skill level so I would be comfortable and all times. We continued the day with a delicious and intimate lunch with a family that runs a little property with lovely bungalows available for vacations. Before returning back to Santiago, we stopped an historic winery for a tasting. The entire experience was full of unexpected surprises and personalized care. Felipe is a wonderful guide and delightful travel companion. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area. Everyone we met were gracious and warm which made the experience that much more intimate. He has many fun adventures to pick from and I would definitely love to meet up with him again on my next trip to Chile!
