Charith was an excellent driver and a very pleasant guide overall! He was very friendly and we appreciated how we could go at our own pace. We initially only signed up for the hike alone, but ended up going to the tea factory as well, which was a nice extra experience. The weather was misty and rainy so we couldn’t take in the view so much during the hike at Horton Plains; however, my family and I loved our experience. It was so beautiful and definitely worth visiting. One thing that i would have liked to know beforehand is that no single use plastic is allowed into the park… We had brought snacks and we needed to repack all of them in paper bags that the park provided. It was indeed one of the best holidays we had. Kavishan was my guide for this tour. It was just amazing! He gave a lot of information about the teaplants, the trees in horton plains,... and answered all my questions. He showed me animals that I didn't see by myself like a trout. I could also try some wild fruits. Kavishan took a lot of time for me and never gave me the feeling that I have to hurry. Really recommended!!I’m so glad we went to Horton Plains with our serenely brilliant driver-cum-guide Kavisham. Unlike some other drivers we’ve had, he wasn’t remotely pushy. I’m so glad we went to Horton Plains with our serenely brilliant driver-cum-guide Kavisham. Unlike some other drivers we’ve had, he wasn’t remotely pushy. Instead, he exuded calm and a charm that made it super relaxing to hang out with him. With great English, he shared a plethora of fascinating facts. He also took us the least crowded way around the National Park, showing us viewpoints missed by most tourists. He was also great at spotting animals and we were chuffed when he got to see an animal only found in Horton Plains: the purple-leaf-faced monkey. We had such an enjoyable time with Kavisham that we wanted to continue the fun, so we also booked a tea plantation tour with him. If you’re looking for a chilled-out driving companion, I highly recommend Kavisham. He’s one of the many lovely Sri Lankans we met who made our holiday.Loved loved loved it - from the hotel pick up in a spotless & comfortable vehicle to the hike to worlds end, bakers falls & little worlds end, the visit & tour of the tea estate & finally the 360 view of 4 waterfalls, it was wonderful.
