Casual night out with the team ⁃ It was on 21st June, coach (Darwin) had already asked us out privately, he suggested to bring us out since he had a grab(as what he mentioned during the conversation with us), he was additional ask if we have any plan after our first lesson in Bali. Yet, we do not give any response to him. Second day morning (22nd June), my friend Tina received the official invite from the coach (Darwin) to ride us around that area, to understand their culture and try their local food with another guy (Darwin mentioned ). ⁃ However, he do not mention it was a team bonding activity, he did only respond to us that there will be one more guy joining us. The suspicious thing was, we don’t know where were we going to, and I even asked my friend Tina, but she was no idea as well. We only received the message saying to bring us out to their local market to try their food and etc. ⁃ Right after that, I was still thinking it totally did not make sense for calling two girls out with only two guys. I feedback to Tina it was dangerous, I don’t go, and Tina replied to me, if she has to go alone, it will be very dangerous as only she alone with two guys. So my point is, it doesn’t make any sense that you reply in the email, it was a team bonding activity with guys, woman, and even siblings. Why in the first place, the coach (Darwin) didn’t mention it to us, and we have this kind of feeling, that if this is a normal and formal activity, he should just mention it and ease our doubt. 2. On 22nd June morning, I already felt unwell, so I was wearing casual clothes instead of putting on the surfing gear. I told Tina that I will want to give up the third and fourth surfing lesson as I really felt unwell. However, Tina and the coach pursued me to go down to the sea. They used about 3 hours plus to pursue me to surf, and he told me that surfing can ease my body ache, it will make my body feel better after surfing. If this is just an encouragement, he will never spend 3 hours plus to encourage me to go down to the surf. I don’t see the logic behind it, please check with the coach before explaining the whole story. Why I mean he was unprofessional! 1. The reason why I said he was unprofessional, because during the surfing lesson, I believe that he already knows my condition, plus the wave was coming toward us. At the moment, he asked one of his colleagues to take over him, and I was still a newbie, I don’t know the board control and my body not very well. The new coach doesn’t know my condition and even my surfing level. I felt that this is very ridiculous. After taking over from the new coach, he asked me am I ready? He straight away pushed me out followed by the wave. I personally felt that it was very dangerous, as my condition not well, it will easily get lost control of that. Head injured 1. When I was injured, he never come to understand the whole incident, as a coach, I suppose the coach has to at least understand and investigate what is going on, But he failed to do that. Instead, he didn’t offer to bring me to the hospital until I ask so. I don’t understand what is the practice there if someone is hurt during the surfing lesson, what is the next move the coach or the person-in-charge should do. I even need to bring out this case myself to get investigate this thing. Last but not least, I would want to say that, all these I mentioned above was the story that happened throughout the entire journey. I was shocked especially when you guys say it was an activity with a bunch of the team members. Please do investigate this matter again, appreciate if you could do so.zhenyong19

Writing my first TripAdvisor review as I couldn’t rave enough about this surf school! Not only were the prices for the lessons dirt cheap, the instructors were fantastic!! They were very attentive, constantly looking out for our techniques and making sure to correct us if we’ve done anything wrongly. Further, the instructors for our group were loads of fun - easy to chat with and cracked jokes every now and then. The biggest bonus came at the end of the lesson, where the staff told us that they would be uploading the photos taken of us (by their in-house photographer) to a Google Drive! The pictures turned out almost pro-like quality, making us look much cooler than we thought we looked. Pros: - Fantastic instructors - Dirt cheap prices - Bonus photos taken of you surfing Cons: - Had to wake up early for this - 6am class, am not a morning person (but no regrets afterwards) TLDR: Absolutely value-for-money surf school. Go here for fantastic instructors and cool pictures.Tiffany C

The surf coach "Pang" was quite thorough with the briefing at the start, but he was a little too intense and was quite impatient while he was teaching in the waters. The surf coach "Pang" was quite thorough with the briefing at the start, but he was a little too intense and was quite impatient while he was teaching in the waters. The photographer (can't remember his name), however, was very friendly and he was quite encouraging as well. Lastly, "Paul" wrote a long message stating that in order for us to get the photos (which was promised in the package), we had to write a multi paragraph 5 star review. He deleted the message after 5 minutes of sending, and still sent us the photo nevertheless. Throughout the entire time the message was left unread. Regardless, the coach still managed to teach us to stand on the board and catch some waves!
