We saw many interesting sites and learned a huge amount about the history of Hue. We would thoroughly recommend this company and in particular Sanh Tony for a really good day tour of Hue.We switched out one of the tombs for An Hien Garden House which was nice as we got to hear traditional Vietnamese music. The tour guide was prompt and friendly, we thought the tour was very good. Lunch is included as well, we picked bun Bo Hue. The lunch place was popular with locals.

My husband and I traveled to Vietnam in late March and decided to book a day tour to see the sites in Hue. I found Stop and Go Tours through TripAdvisor, and let me just start by saying that Stop and Go is legit! You don't feel like you're getting scammed, and in the cut-throat tourism market in Vietnam, that's saying something. If you don't believe me, just check out the many accolades bestowed upon this outfit by reputable travel giants such as TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet. Stop and Go isn't just a tour company, they run a cafe; and I must say, their Vietnamese food is pretty darn good. I booked our tour online from the States and it was quick, easy, and no-nonsense. Use PayPal to submit your payment securely and you're set to go. Their representatives were quick to respond despite the 14 hour time difference. The morning of the tour, Sanh (Tony) arrived early with a smile on his face and a clean, air conditioned car. He was extremely personable and well versed in his local and Vietnamese history. He had an infectious laugh and made us feel like we were old friends right away. He took us to the five must see sites in Hue and detoured to a couple of bonuses along the way. I was impressed that our water bottles were always replaced so we'd stay hydrated in the heat and humidity, and we never waited more than a few seconds after completing our site excursions before Sanh was pulling up with the air conditioned car. The give must see sites included tombs of past emperors, the Nguyen Dynasty Citadel (set aside at least a couple of hours for this one) and a beautiful Buddhist pagoda along the famous Perfume River at sunset. Keep in mind the Stop and Go price does not include entrance fees to these sites so bring some cash or credit card and purchase the largest ticket package (approximately 360,000 VND). The private car tour was well worth the price since it would have been difficult getting around to each of these sites on our own. We had such a great time on the Hue tour and were even more ecstatic to know that Sanh would be our driver for our transfer/tour from Hue to Hoi An. We will definitely be recommending Stop and Go to our family and friends. We selected this tour operator based on all the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Wonderful day in beautiful Hue, with a very friendly and accommodating guide/driver, who was flexible to my timing constraints and spoke very good English. The trip took me about 6-7 hours, during which we visited the Pagoda, Citadel and Three Tombs, and in between the stops my guide took me for a coffee and a spot of lunch (best Bun Bo Hue in Vietnam!). The tombs in particular, especially the tomb of Minh Mang, and absolutely beautiful, and well worth the time to visit. I cannot recommend highly enough - particularly if you only have a short time to see the sights as I did.
