Gunnar was a very nice and good guide. I've just come home from from a wonderful tour of northern Iceland, guided by Francesco. True, Iceland is beautiful, but you need the right, experienced, and knowledgeable guide to explore the best spots. That's what we did: the Húsavík region is rich with interesting places to visit, both culturally and photographically. I've loved the Akureyri area, especially the tiny Grimsey island, and the area around Sauðárkrókur. Having such an expert and kind guide made the tour really special. I can't wait to come back to experience some more or the Icelandic lore through tales and images. The trip of a lifetime in just 5 days! Dettafoss, Asbyrgi, and Dimmuborgir were just a few grand highlights in those dazzling, dizzying few days. Of course Bjórböðin and Jarðböðin við Mývatn can't be missed. Giuditta and Francesco were absolutely incredible hosts, guides, planners, and educators. They booked us tickets to attractions, provided great directions, restaurant recommendations, set us up with a rental car, and showed us the sights in Húsavík and the Diamond Circle. We were blown away by the breadth and depth knowledge and experience. They've been everywhere! Lovely and amazing people whom we're fortunate to have met. Iceland is a truly remarkable place that changed my life to visit. It's a place of such beauty and majesty that it is at times overwhelming and even uncanny. Over a week after getting home, it's still hard to think of anything else.
