Very cramped and no air for a 7 hour round trip. Nobody said a word the whole trip. Cash is required when you get there and no ATMs. I’m not a complainer but this was a nightmare.I’m glad I decided to take this tour to Tolantongo. It was even more beautiful in person. I’m glad I decided to take this tour to Tolantongo. It was even more beautiful in person. I went on a Thursday and it wasn’t too crowded. I got to hang out in a couple pools all to myself. The only thing I have to say is BRING CASH! The only thing that was disappointing was that they never warned us that nobody accepts credit cards despite the springs being located on a resort. Luckily I had some pesos but i wasn’t able to buy lunch, only a snack. I couldnt eat till after I got back to the city. Our pickup point was right in front of a bank. Had we known, we could have taken cash out at the ATM. There is no ATM at Tolantongo. This was one of our most memorable tours in Mexico and definitely most unique spots we’ve ever visited. A mix waterfalls, hot-spring caves and pools. The 3.5 to 4 hour drive was definitely worth it. Our tour guide Bernie (Israel) was very friendly and helpful too. Only thing that could’ve been better was the ride. A larger SUV would’ve been more comfortable and safer for the windy roads up the mountains. But overall an amazing experience.Awesome experience, our tour guide Jose was excellent! Definitely recommend to go to grutas de Tolantongo
