Intimate Sailing Adventure in Miami's Biscayne Bay
Overview
You will meet the founders/guides David or JP, we are originally from Argentina and Venezuela and have been living in Miami for more than 20 years. We share a passion for protecting Biscayne Bay and its wildlife, as well as creating beautiful memories for our guests.
Our float of Hobie Catamarans were designed with surfing in mind, you'll glide over the water and be in contact with your surroundings. Thanks to their convenient maneuverability and size, they'll allow you to experience every corner of Biscayne Bay like no other boat can. These boats are extremely safe and comfortable for people of all ages.
Inclusions
- Snacks - Fresh fruit is included, as well as cookies and chips
- Water is included too but we encourage everyone to bring reusable water bottle
What to expect
@SaltyMiami is the only boat tour in Miami that's 100% powered by wind, that's right! no engines, real sailing. It's owner-operated, which means you will be treated like family.
We are less like a touristy tour and more like having a local friend taking you out sailing. We explore Biscayne Bay and its diverse wildlife, we visit sandbars, swim, snorkel (optional), walk through mangroves and islets, and sometimes we visit Miami's landmarks. We are licensed and insured.
We'll appreciate a unique ecosystem, all while having fun and creating once-in-a-lifetime memories.
We'll be watching for possible sightings of dolphins, manatees, starfish, or amazing sunsets.
We'll spend about 3.5 hours on the Bay. We have some healthy snacks, fruits, and water. You can also bring your own drinks and snacks BYOB
Please text us a day before the experience to get a weather update, weather can be unpredictable, in some cases, we may need to reschedule for a later/earlier time or day.
We'll provide life-vests and dry bags for personal items.
This is a social impact experience, operated by Florida Ocean Clean-up Society, a nonprofit 501(c)(3).

It was one of the most memorable adventures I've had anywhere in the world, a truly unique opportunity to connect with the location, wildlife and fellow travelers. So much fun and beauty, a lovely boat and a friendly expert host. You'll get wet!

We were a little slow getting started but it gave time to get to know the other people on the trip- there were 5 of us + Diego. Great folks, as you would expect on this kind of activity. We had a movie-worthy adventure, as the winds were quite strong, but Diego was calm and capable. You will get wet since you will be on a catamaran (as they advertise) so plan accordingly. I wasn’t quite sure what to do about snacks and beverages, but the crew had it covered. There is a paid parking lot by the meeting point, enter that and get your ticket validated at the Coast Guard building. There are bathrooms there too. Highly recommend.Amazing experience! Winds made the ride choppier, but it made for a more exhilarating ride. Diego was cool, calm, collective.
