Our outlander tour is unique we follow the story and show you the true historic places linked with season 1
We dont visit the muselium or castle leoch due to not always been able to gain entry to muselium and you cant go in to castle leoch as its a private home and tours must be pre arranged

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Fort George, 11 miles off the A96, Inverness IV2 7TD Scotland
Visiting fort george the only remaining fort in the highlands you will learn about the history of the Queens own Highlanders - The Black watch.
The outlander link at the beginning of the outlander series jamie is been flogged at fort william seeing the one of ardiser shows you how big these forts are while finding out about the history in the Highlander Museum

Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Clava Cairns, Balnuaran of Clava, IV2 5EU Scotland
Claire started her story here by touching the stone at craig na doune and waking up 200 years in the past where she was to meet Jamie fraser before the time of the battle of culloden
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre, Culloden Moor IV2 5EU Scotland
Visit culloden battlefield walk around the field follow the battle lines taken by The Red Coats and the Jacobites, Take a look at the memorail stones for the clans can you find the fraser stone ?
Also near the entrance find the stone for Diana Gaboldon the author of the outlander series
admission is free for the battlefield not for the visitors exhibition not included

This was the hiding place of Bonny Prince Charlie at the time of the great battle
also did you know the duke of cumberland was also here at the same time
stopping for photos only
Stop At: Urquhart Castle, A82, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XJ Scotland
We are now half way though the story of season one and jamie has been captured by the infamous Jack Black Randall and again taken to fort william .
we are following the steps along the loch to urquhart castle you will spend upto a hour enjoying the 16th century ruins and looking for the lochness monster
admission is not included

Stop At: Beauly Priory, Beauly IV4 7DY Beauly IV4, Beauly Scotland
the end of our season one trail we say good bye to jamie and claire as they head off to france
ready for season two :)

Stop At: The Singleton Distillery, A832, Muir of Ord IV6 7UJ, UK
its time to refect on the day and enjoy a taste of scotland

A really nice tour very good experience Andy and Roy provided us with a ton of info of all the places we stop. Not a rush or push to move and they gave us many tips to enjoy every place. They also added an extra stop to meet Jamie Fraser 🐂. Thank you so much

Andy was a terrific guide, answering our every question and taking us to all the Outlander sights. We were even able to find the our ancestors on the Culloden battlefield.

Andy was awesome!! On the first day, we went on the Outlander tour and we had a great time. Andy was knowledgeable about all the sites, the history as well as The Outlander story. We also got to meet his lovely wife. :) During our travels, we told him about the horrible day we had, the day before, when another tour company canceled on us at the last minute, so we didn't make it to Skye. We also asked him how long it took to get to Ft. William and told him we had an 8-hour train ride. He was so generous to take us to Ft. Williams and show us many beautiful sites along the way, instead of taking the 8-hour train. So we ditched the train and took him up on his offer and we had no regrets! We really enjoyed our 2nd day with Andy and got to see some sites that we didn't expect to see. Andy is genuine, funny, polite, and flexible. We feel like we made a new friend. We highlight recommend him if you are looking for a day tour in and around Inverness.Hyrstcote
