We booked four different tours with Bein Harim (highly recommended) and the late start tour of Jerusalem was truly the highlight of our trip. Ami, a professor at the University, regaled us with stories of the surrounding points of interest as we made the drive to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. We quickly learned that when Ami would say “remember this” it was because he was building a story piece by piece and setting the proper context to truly appreciate the numerous historical and religious sites we encountered. His command of over 3,000 years of history was quite impressive, but even more impressive was his ability to break it done into bite size pieces without overwhelming us. I am not sure if you can request a particular tour guide, but trust me if you can get a tour with Ami you will not be disappointed and would be worth the effort. The day started early at 7:15 with the bus picking me up at the Dan. Itamar was an excellent Israeli, English-speaking guide. He was intelligent and knew his subjects. He made the tour interesting and well informed. Our bus driver, Abraham, did an excellent drive to and from Tel Aviv. I would take this tour again and will surely use them for my next tours.Everything was very well organized. Everything was very well organized. The pick up at the appointed hotel in Tel Aviv was on time and our guide, Itamar, was fantastic. We traveled with small children and he was super helpful when they needed to take brakes or use the bathroom. He is also really knowledgeable and friendly and answered every question we had. The tour itself was great. Very well organized with lots of great things to see and even some agreed time to explore some monuments by ourselves after his good explanations. He even had a recommendation for us to eat at a genuinely nice place and price at the Jaffa port in Tel Aviv and dropped us off 2 minutes away from it when we returned from Jerusalem. Definitely worth the late departure. Jerusalem did not feel as crowded and the walk around the city was broken into sections in order no to get too tired, even for our small children.Hava Dorany did an outstanding job. A guide needs more than knowledge. He or she needs empathy, an ability to read people and communicate with them and the sensitivity to know when to keep quiet. Danny Binshtok has all of these qualities - and more - he shared a lifetime's knowledge in a matter of hours that will leave a lasting impression on me. I waited 40 years to see Jerusalem: I am so glad I did so with Danny's friendly and generous help. Tim Mahon - UK
