Dave & Valerie were our guides and they were absolutely terrific! In fact, they made us feel as if they were extensions of our family and were just showing us around their town. We can't say enough good things except that we didn't want the night to end and would have even loved to have dinner together. Definitely recommend this Jolly Trolley trip and hopefully you get as lucky as we did and have these two beautiful souls as your guides! We really enjoyed this tour. We really enjoyed this tour. Although we have been to Johnson City for business purposes, we have never before seen the Lyndon Johnson family home or the wonderful lights at the historical center. The tour was great. Dave and Valerie we wonderful - explaining what we were seeing, the historical context (Dave is a historian), and what is available during the Christmas Lights event in Johnson City. We booked the Holley Jolley tour for our weekend in Fredericksburg for the tree lighting there, and knew we needed to take the trolley for the Johnson City lights also. The trolley ride was so much fun, and Thanks to Becky, and Dave, it was also very informative with history of both Fredericksburg and Johnson City. We got to experience the weekend of Johnson City's Lighted Parade along with the activities on the courthouse square, and then we were taken to the Pedernales Electric Coop lighting tha boasts 1,300,000 lights to light up the office & park area surrounding it. Absolutely Beautiful sight. We also got to tour the childhood home of Lyndon B. Johnson and it was a great added bonus to do that. I will tell anyone that this is a tour worth taking and the tour group, James, Becky, & Dave were totally Great with this tour!!! Cant wait to do it again next year!!!!The hosts were both very good and friendly. I just expected more for the amount of money that we spent. The hosts were both very good and friendly. I just expected more for the amount of money that we spent. Maybe more narration as we drove from Fredericksburg to Johnson City? Maybe about different wineries and history. They went through some Johnson City stuff but there were long gaps... I would also suggest more than water aboard for a holiday theme trolley. The other thing is waiting an hour at the second stop was really long to only see lit up trees. I know you could do tractor rides but everyone I saw in our group was sitting on the wall waiting to leave.
