I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a safe and knowledgeable introduction to the real Kampala. You will get a first-hand impression of how people in Kampala live and do business. You can't get that from being driven around in a car. We started our tour at the Gaddafi mosque, where the guide gave a great introduction to Kampala. We even got to climb up the Minaret (tower) for a great view of the city. We then walked through the various markets, food and second-hand clothes, the metal district and other business districts, and the taxi park. The guide intimately knows the area, so I always felt safe.Kathy and Abby were my tour guides for this trip and they provided me with a rich experience of the beautiful and intricate city of Kampala.
