Take the day off from driving, kick back and marvel at the beauty of the Garden Isle from its pacific blue waters to waterfalls and ancient ruins. Immerse yourself in the natural and cultural history of Hawaii as your guide brings all the sights to life with fascinating stories, legends and fun facts from the past to modern times.

Private tours available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Private tours include pick up and drop off on all hotels located on the south and east, the airport, and the cruise ship. Route can also be customized.

What to expect
Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Kapaa, Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii
Our day together will start at Holey Grail Doughnuts and Small Town Coffee. You are up for a treat; made fresh to order. They are next level! Please arrive here at 8:30am so you have time to enjoy coffee and doughnuts. Tour departs at 9am sharp.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Wailua River State Park, Highway 56, Wailua, Kauai, HI
We will now head on a drive through Kauai's backcountry on our way to our next stop, Wailua town. Great and Sacred Wailua used to be the main center of government in ancient times, where Kauai's royalty lived and where most ancient temples of worship where built. In this area we will visit Poliahu Heiau, an ancient Hawaiian temple of worship, Opaekaa Falls, and Wailua River lookout (largest navigable river in the state)
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Wailua Falls, Maalo Rd, Lihue, Kauai, HI
You can't never have enough waterfalls on your vacation. From Wailua town we will head to Lihue town to visit the beautiful and famous Wailua Falls from the famous TV show "Fantasy island" You will have ample time to marvel at this beauty, and take pictures.

Stop At: Poipu Beach Park, Hoona Rd, Poipu, Koloa, Kauai, HI 96756
Weather permitting we will visit this iconic and beautiful beach park on the south side of Kauai. You will have time to take a short stroll and take some pictures. This beach is know as the bedroom for the Hawaiian green sea turtles as they like to come and rest in the sand, so we will be on the lookout for them.

Stop At: Spouting Horn, South Shore, Poipu, Koloa, Kauai, HI
On our way to the Spouting Horn we will drive through the famous Tree Tunnel. Travelers will see an ancient lava tube that is now a water blow hole created by the ocean waves. We will share the mythical legend Hawaiian legend tied to this place. We will also take you to a secret location to see Hawaiian green sea turtles weather permitting.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Old Koloa Town, Koloa Road, Koloa, Kauai, HI 96756
Lunch will take place in the historic town of Koloa where you will have many food options, from restaurants to food trucks. You will be free to choose what you want. We will spend about 1.5 hours here so you have plenty of time to eat, stroll through this charming plantation town, and do some shopping for locally made souvenirs (optional).

Stop At: Menehune Fish Pond, Hulemalu Rd. Niumalu, Kauai, HI
We will visit one of Kauia's oldest archeological sites located in a breathtaking wild life reserve in Lihue town. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery we will share with you the restoration project that is taking place, the old time legend of the little people of Hawai'i known as "The Menehunes" who built the pond, and the many Hollywood movies filmed in this area.

Last on our agenda is a worthwhile drive through lovely Lydgate Park. A beautiful area you will want to come back to spend the day relaxin and/or swimming.

- No cancellations pass the 48 hours prior to that start of the tour.
- Wear comfortable clothes. Sandals and flip flops are great for this tour. I recommend wearing a cap/hat, and sunglasses.

Want an amazing way to see some of the best spots of the island in comfort? This is the tour you need to take. We love sitting back and not having to drive around the island. Coco is such a fun and engaging host. Along the way she fills the van ride with fun legends, historical knowledge and then lots of laughter. We loved our lunch spot at Lava’s and all the stops along the way. She doesn’t rush her gas and she is willing to take all the pictures of you along the way and they are some great shots, trust me.
