What to expect
We start our adventure from the city center, where we pick you up from our meeting point. From here it's a short drive in our comfortable car, until we're set up for our kayak adventure. Before you're heading into your Kayak, you get some basic paddling techniques and safety information. Afterward, you're ready to paddle into the Archipelago and to encounter different islands on your way. Before you get too tired, have a break on one of the small islands and set up your own campfire to prepare an organic lunch on it. If you’re tough enough, maybe go for a swim into the Baltic Sea, until lunch is ready. On your way back, enjoy another break with some organic Swedish Fika (coffee break).

I went on the 1-day kakak trip with my teen son while staying in Stockholm.. we were both total newbies but found it quite easy to get into balancing and paddling the 2-person kayak. Stopped for lunch on one of the small uninhabited islands with hot veggie meatball sandwiches, coffee and a campfire with time to have an explore on the island. Duration was perfect for us beginners (hard work on the arms!) and all in all a brilliant experience and a highlight of our holidayWe chose to do the Full day archipelago with lunch trip. We chose to do the Full day archipelago with lunch trip. On the day there was myself & my friend from the UK & 2 friends from Germany. We had both kayaked in open kayaks before but only around our local coast. The other ladies had not kayaked before. We all got on really well. On the day we went to the wrong place for the meet up point, but after a quick call, they waited for us & we met up with Leo our guide for the day. Leo drove us to the marina: about 45 minutes away. Once we were all in our kayaks, each in double kayaks. Leo gave basic instructions & we were off. This was a superb day out & I would strongly recommend it. The kayaking goes around several islands of varying size. We skirted around some islands & also crossed some open water, which at times was a little choppy with passing boats & currents between the islands. The varied water added to the fun & enjoyment of the day. After a few hours we landed on a beach & made a small camp fire. Leo made us vegan meatballs with Swedish wraps lettuce & beetroot slaw plus coffee…finished off with a sweet treat. Perfect for our outdoor adventure. The return trip to the Marina was equally enjoyable with sun coming out more. On return to the marina we all helped put the kayaks away. Leo drove us back to our metro station afterwards. Leo was an excellent experienced guide & great company. I would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to see the area from a different perspective. It is a trip that is suitable for beginners or more experienced kayakers. Thank you for a great day out. :)I would recommend at least a half day kayak trip. Bring layered clothes - even on a sunny day it can get breezy. Walking in sandals was fine but could have covered more ground with shoes. Guide, I believe his name was Leo was amazing and very good to chat with about the Archipelago and Sweden in general.
