The tour guide was very informative and passionate about the island ecosystem. The tour is best if you're relatively fit, as kayaking against an ocean current can be difficult if you're not experienced.

Excellent tour provided by our tour guide Lalo. He was an avid birdwatcher and a from a local family. He was able to provide our small group (6) with so much inside information about the island, birds and culture. The tour was an easy paddle mostly through the mangroves and a little on the open sea. It was very calm and serene. We saw so many different birds (Blue/White Herons, flamingos, Ospreys, Roseate Spoonbill, Hawks, Cormorants, Pelicans) and a crocodile! I would highly recommend!I went with my wife, our 11-year-old daughter, and a family friend. We shared two double kayaks. Alex was our guide. I went with my wife, our 11-year-old daughter, and a family friend. We shared two double kayaks. Alex was our guide. He led us paddling along the beachside to the river entry. From there we went inland among the Mangrove trees. It was quite peaceful and fairly easy paddling. Alex told us about the many types of birds, including some flamingoes (which are not there in large numbers until the summertime). We also saw a young crocodile - approx. 1.5 meters in length. It was a pleasant and informative excursion! We had a great time learning how to kayak (only so well, ha) and experiencing the beauty of the mangrove trees and the ría, as our guide Willi explained, that houses wildlife of all kinds. We saw sandpipers and egrets, herons, and even a crocodile! Willi was a great guide. I highly recommend this outing. Please note that it’s not flamingo season until Spring/summer, but we still had a great time and got a good arm work out in too!We truly enjoyed our experience with VIP tours. We truly enjoyed our experience with VIP tours. Willi was our guide for the morning. He was knowledgeable, passionate about his island and very professional. We had door to door service to and from the kayaks, which was a welcomed treat after days of walking the island. When they were running late, we were informed the shuttle was running a couple minutes late and they came just two minutes later. Everyone we worked with were professional and helpful. I would highly recommend them.
