Our guide was friendly and gave us plenty of information during the trip. Our vehicle was comfortable and the driver drove safely. The sea turtle conservation centre was low key but quite inspiring, I would recommend a visit. We loved the bamboo rafting, it was a serene and relaxing trip down the river. Access to the waterfall was challenging but worth the effort once in the water. There were no change facilities nor toilets at the waterfall so a warning to change into swimmers beforehand would be useful. The bamboo rafting was really fun for me and my kids also (3 and 4 year old) and the only "problem" was that the trip was too short :) Trip to the waterfall at the moment (with low water levels) is nice, but you cannot really swim there. Our tour guide was really welcoming and the whole experience was fruitful. From pickup to departure, everything was well planned and organised. The turtle’s conservation centre tour was well guided by the tour guide and was really interesting. The bamboo rafting was also fun and refreshing as you get to enjoy nature. We also received a photo (200bhatt) taken by the locals as we sat on the raft- it was professional and well taken. The waterfall was mainly for photos. Nothing much in terms of if you are looking for a hike or trail. Overall a really fun and memorable experience with an amazing tour guideThe bamboo rafting was a highlight of the trip. A very relaxing gentle trip down the river, plenty of nature to take in. Sea turtle conservation centre was interesting and well worth a short visit. Overall a well paced half day tour. Guide was knowledgeable and interesting.

We actually did the above trip but also included the Elephant Home which had feeding and bathing the elephants. They said we would be picked up at 8.45am and arrived exactly then so good first impressions :) Guide and minibus driver were both lovely and very friendly (sorry I'm terrible with names otherwise I would mention). Along the journey to the turtle centre (1st stop) many other things were pointed out, from the local market to rubber trees so we learnt a lot more about what was in the area. Visited the turtle centre, then off for bamboo rafting followed by lunch, which I had forgtten was included, and they give you loads of food so don't have too big a breakfast! Then we stopped at the waterfall for pictures, you could swim if you wanted, and finally the elephant house where we got to bath and feed one of their elephants. A very varied trip and very good value, was around 4.5 hours in total, probably helped as our hotel was very close to the elephant house so return journey was very short.Nine(your guide) very I formative about khao lak area and history. Very friendly and always available to answer questions. Turtle conversation was really interesting, bamboo rafting saw many snakes and a great swim in the waterfall.
