We had a good day and it was great to see the king penguins. There were over 50 of them. There was a lot of driving - about 2 hours to the ferry, a 1/2-3/4 hour trip on the ferry and then about another hour driving to the penguins. We were expecting a long day, as advertised. Lunch was a bit hit and miss as the first restaurant didn’t respond to calls. So we had to go elsewhere. The food was just ok. The return trip was the same as the outgoing trip, despite advertising of a different route and longer ferry trip on the way and a shorter one on the way back. All in all we would still say it was a very worth while days outing. They canceled due to wind not allowing the ferry to sail to get us there. To their credit they issued a refund for the entire price. So at least they were honest, and the weather is beyond their control.
