We had already done the Cultural Walking Tour (also very recommended) and because this tour was so much fun and interesting we decided to join the food tour also (because it was the second tour we also got 10% discount). We weren't let down, it was a great experience and we learned so much about the Japanese cuisine and tried a lot of new things. Walking through Zion with Michi was so much fun, she was very flexible and pointed us things that we were never to find ourselves. We were very lucky to have some extra time in Kyoto and to join this food tour. It was truly great and I can really recommend this tour!!Eriko was a great guide and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Kyoto. We were so full eating all the wonderful snacks. There is no way we could have gone to all the places we went, on our own. Highly recommend

First of all my mom and I are very grateful to have had Naomi as our guide. She was very sweet and considerate of our walking pace and our interests. She was very open and enthusiastic when talking about her own life in Japan and gave us a unique opportunity to understand what it can be like to live in Japan. This tour had great timing. It covered a ton of very interesting landmarks all while eating the best food. It also left a lot of time after to explore the area further. We had a great time on this tour of the Nishiki Market and Gion. Timing seemed very flexible and our guide, Kiyomi, answered our many questions and tailored the tour according to our interests (we ended up being the only people on the tour!). Her English was great and she made the tour fantastic! She even sent emails afterwards with follow-up recommendations. We had no issue finding her at the meeting spot and tried lots of different foods in the Nishiki market. All around great experience! We had a great tour with Hideko last November.
