This park was named for Ellen Browning Scripps, one of the most significant figures in La Jolla's history. Here, you'll find out how she is responsible for the neighborhood being what it is today, as well as how she made her fortune in the first place.

In a few blocks, we're going to see a small building with a long history. It's the La Jolla Woman's Club, founded by - who else? - Ellen Scripps. When the club began in 1901, American women lacked any sort of equality, with no right to vote, and no right to custody of their children.

I love the idea. A personal tour connected to the gps. Getting the app and password worked fine and starting the tour went fine. But after the first stop, I couldn’t get it to play automatically. And since the La Jolla site was super busy with no parking, there was no time to take in the scenery....

I went back late afternoon, found a park but the tour wouldn’t play. As a solo traveler, calling tech support was not an option. I might try it again for another tour off season because I really like the idea. But this was a waste.Tomatt2

Make app work even 10%. Frustrating going in circles for 45+ minutes to same 3 sites, very poor directions and description of site. Asking for Full Refund. Should ask for time and gas reimbursement too since it made our trip just awful.
