Fantastic fun today. Tolu was our tour guide from Royaltiestours. She was fun, funny and a good guide. The canopy was just scary enough to be exhilarating. The monkeys were entertaining. Everyone had a blast!

I love the monkeys too....they are friendly because of the food ( banana ) they are likely to get from us.

Tolu, our guide from Royalties Tours, arranged a private van to pick us up from our hotel. She arrived a couple hours early and patiently waited on us to be ready. When we got to the van, Tolu had an assortment of water and pop for us to choose from. When we got to Lekki Conservation Centre, we were all disappointed and surprised to find that it was closed for two weeks for renovations-- despite no notice on the website. However, Tolu made it a priority to make our trip worth while. She asked what we wanted to eat and took us to a local spot for lunch. After lunch she offered several suggestions for site seeing. We opted for Kalakuta republic museum, home to Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Following that tour, Tolu offered to bus us to the Nike Art Gallery. However, by that point we were all tired and chose to go back. Bottom line, despite our trip not going initially as planned, Tolu went out of her way to give us a memorable experience. For that, we were all extremely grateful.
