Booked this tour to fill in some time, so glad we did, Wes was extremely knowledgeable and the perfect host to guide us through the history of Newcastle, the tour lasts 2 hours but the time flew in. I’d recommend this tour, it’s quite a leisurely stroll, however there is some steep inclines, all in all we learned so much that you can only get from someone who knows their subject.I am originally from the northeast and also have an interest in history so I was keen to undertake this tour and Wes did not disappoint. His knowledge of the city was well contextualised with the wider social and military history of the UK. Me and my son really enjoyed the experience.

Old haunts like the Stoll theatre , steps down to the Quayside via the Castle, Kittiwakes on the Tyne Bridge, the renound Pink Lane, not forgetting the Greys Hotel where the Beatles wrote A Hard Day's Night. !Thoroughly enjoyable 2 and a half hours wandering around Newcastle longer than advertised so excellent value for money.
