FUNNY! Informative, can you be a professional comic/actor and a brilliant historian at the same time, yes! (Please note- you are informed at the beginning of the tour that you will be dead by the end of it- I am grateful I was spared to tell the tale.)

I did the Auld City and the Dead House tour. I thought £17 might be a bit pricey but actually it was worth it. The tour guides are thespians and it was as good as a night out at the theatre. Our main guide, Chilla Black, had a vast knowledge of Liverpool's history, her eccentric persona was hilarious and the ghostly stories were chilling. She gave not-so-subtle hints that we weren't going to survive the night and gazed into the distance with a subtle panic every time a siren went past, so when she offered to take pictures at the end, I asked her to strangle me. She was extremely happy to oblige. I had a great time and I would recommend this to anyone, skeptics and believers of ghosts alike
