It's nice to not have to think about where you are going, not have to do the driving, just sit back and take it all in. Was a relaxing day in spectacular scenery with Emma who was a fantastic host and we have memories for my mum's 70th birthday that we'll all cherish. We had not done something like this before and I'm glad we were able to treat the family, it was a great introduction to a beautiful part of the world. Everything was very professionally handled throughout our booking, tour and follow up, they made us comfortable and accommodated our requests and delivered a tremendous experience. This was a full day tour starting at Balloch Scotland, a 45 minute train ride from Glasgow. Our guide John arrived within minutes of us enlightening (this is the word Scottish Rail uses) from the train. We were dressed appropriately but he had extra jackets and rain pants if needed. There was a van large enough for 8 people but we were only four, so lots of room for our legs and our knapsacks. John was very friendly and informative the entire time and always ensured we were all OK as we hiked up some of the hills for the most amazing views of Loch Lomond. We drove around the Loch and stopped several times throughout the day. The hikes are not difficult and are more of a slow ascent of the hills. We also stopped at Scotland's oldest pub, The Clachan and had a pint of Tennent's and a wonderful lunch. Perfect combination for a day in the hills. One of the highlights besides the wonderful scenery and fresh air was the stop to visit the "hairy coos". These are the long hair cows of the Scottish Highlands and the stop there was worth it. Overall, the tour began at 0900 and ended at around 1800 hrs. A full day that was amazing and we slept well that night back in Glasgow. John and Scotland's Wild Tours are a true class act. Getting out of Glasgow to see the Scottish countryside was a day that will be remembered by us for a very long time.My friend and I loved this Loch Lomond tour. We were lucky to be the only ones for that day. We had amazing views over Loch Lomond. This tour was the highlight of our holiday in Scotland.

What a fantastic day we had, the wife, my son and I were picked up promptly prior to 9.00am and returned at 6.00pm. In between we had a day packed full of educational short talks, interesting places and scenery which at times was out of this world and I saw a Red Squirrel for the first time since I was a mere little lad :-). Our guide for the day, Emma, delivered a service with a smile, great knowledge and enthusiasm for the job at hand. Absolute value for money and we will be going on he Glencoe tour on our next visit. We enjoyed this tour and hike totally. all day and I wish it was even longer.and yes this was a highlight of our vacation.
