We had the pleasure of meeting Daphne who took us to visit Villandry (which was beautiful) then onto another chateau for lunch-met the owner of the chateau. Beautiful grounds for just hanging about and enjoying scenery. Off to wine tasting in Vouray. I learned more about the grapes from the region and will be trying more wine from area - we found some at our local market upon returning home. The cave at the next winery was awesome! The wines very good (as well as the snacks) Good company on tour. Its much better to leave all the arrangements and driving in someone else’s hands. Daphne is a pro and funny too. We were happy to picked up and dropped off close to our base I would definitely recommend the tourWe thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Our host was understanding when we were dumb and went to the wrong tourist office for pick-up, and he was able to make changes to the tour to due to weather. Two great chateau visits and two great winery tours. Exactly what we were looking for!

Agathe our private tour guide was wonderful, friendly and well informed. She created an excellent relaxed atmosphere. Seeing Villandry was magnificent with her informative yet relaxed approach to our tour. The delightful picnic lunch near a stream and small private chateaux added flavor to the experience. It was so much fun! Walking though the private chateaux gave me a sense of what it might be like to live there. Delightful. Our tour of the vineyard, tastings and chatting with the winemakers capped my day.We enjoyed our day at Chateau Villandry and afternoon wine tasting. We enjoyed our day at Chateau Villandry and afternoon wine tasting. Unfortunately the weather was terrible - pouring rain and chilly - perhaps the only truly rainy day in the entire summer. Obviously not the tour company's fault. So with good humor we admired the gardens from the upper floor windows! The afternoon's wine tastings were very nice - a small producer and tasting of 4 or 5 wines and then on to a quite large cellar for tasting and snacks. Would definitely recommend.
