We went from hurghada to Luxor and I would like to share my experience with you. It was really great and we are happy that we did it! First i will share my impressions about the transfer the car was clean and had A/C. Our driver Salah was great, friendly and so kind we never felt bothered for anything and this is really good! After around 4 hours we arrived in Luxor and we could visit the great history of Egypt! One of the biggest temples there is the Karnak temple which we saw the first than we had lunch and eat typical Egyptian food it was so tasty with fresh bread. We went also to west bank it’s the other side across the Nile there you have Hatshepsut temple, the valley of the kings and Habu temple for example. Unfortunately we couldn’t visit all because the time was to short but that’s also a good reason to come back to this beautiful city! We would like to thank Salah for the great hospitality and the warm welcoming in Luxor! See you very soon to discover more beautiful places!minaaU3386EG

Dit is een beschrijving van onze (luxe...) trip in Egypte/ Marsa Alam naar Luxor en Thebe op 24 april 2023. Wij moesten om 3:30 klaarstaan aan de receptie voor een rit van 5 uur (had de TUI verantwoordelijke ons gezegd). Bij het opstappen zat de "comfortabele" minibus reeds vol. De enige plaat...
Dit is een beschrijving van onze (luxe...) trip in Egypte/ Marsa Alam naar Luxor en Thebe op 24 april 2023. Wij moesten om 3:30 klaarstaan aan de receptie voor een rit van 5 uur (had de TUI verantwoordelijke ons gezegd). Bij het opstappen zat de "comfortabele" minibus reeds vol. De enige plaatsen die nog beschikbaar waren waren helemaal achterin. ( 12 uur hebben wij doorgebracht op de achterbank van de minibus.) Dit wil zeggen, bovenop de achteras. De minst comfortabele plaats in een minibus. Je voelt werkelijk elke oneffenheid, en zo zijn er veel. De beste plaatsen, vooraan, werden ingenomen door de reserve chauffeur en de gidsen. Na 3,5 uur hadden we een stop in een Egyptische rustplaats waar men alles probeerde te verkopen en 'maar' 1 euro vroeg voor toiletbezoek. Na 6 uur kwamen wij aan in Luxor. Niet na 5 uur zoals beloofd. Heel mooie bezoeken gedaan van de tempels in Luxor. Daarna de lunch. Deze was in het Iberotel in Luxor. T.T.z. In de boot van het Iberotel. Deze lunch was slechter dan wat ik ooit op school kreeg!! Twee blaadjes sla en twee stukjes tomaat. Hoofdgerecht: twee schijven 'draadjesvlees' met een pyramide van rijst. Alles lauw. Dessert was een kleine bol ijs met stukjes ongepelde appel. Service was 'hoe sneller bediend, hoe sneller weg' type. Vooraleer wij onze dessert hadden opgegeten werd nog snel een mandje voor de fooien op de tafel gesmeten. Daarna nog andere tempels een vallei der koningen bezocht. Heel mooi en de moeite en de reis waard....maar dan moesten wij nog aan de terugreis van 6 uur beginnen!! Terug helemaal op de achterbank van het busje. Gidsen en reserve chauffeur op de comfortabele plaatsen vooraan. Halfweg terug een stop in een Egyptische rustplaats - commentaar zoals hierboven. Hier kregen we een andere chauffeur. Ondertussen was het donker, en volgens mij was deze laatste chauffeur nachtblind! Tijdens het rijden corrigeerde hij voortdurend het busje, waardoor het constant 'wiebelde'. Wij, die achterin zaten,werden door elkaar geschud en dit voor opnieuw ongeveer 3 uur. Mijn partner en mezelf waren geradbraakt na deze "luxe" trip. En dit allemaal voor 310€!! Ik zou voorstellen dat de mensen van TUI zelf deze trip ondernemen, in een minibus, op de achterste plaatsen!! Dit is een TUI trip onwaardig! Waarom geen grotere bus inleggen ? Of een normale auto? Wil je deze trip ook doen weet: Heel mooie bezoeken en de moeite waard, maar deze duurt 6 uur heen en 6 uur terug ! Probeer eerst in de bus te zitten en vooraan ! Zorg voor een lunchpakket! En genoeg munten om tips te geven.Nikol2022P

From luxor we left early morning to hurghada to see the town there. It's totally different but so interesting. Most important we had a great service and a absolutely wonderful time
