While this is the only place in the country that gives you the chance to see all the big 5 animals in a single day, the crater has also many other wildlife including zebras, wildebeests, hippos, gazelles, lots of hyenas, jackals, elephants with long tusks and lots more.
You will have your picnic lunch in this crater, often called the 8th wonder of the world then continue to Serengeti national park for an evening game drive and overnight at Osinon tented lodge.

We had life changing experience in Tanzania. Meeting dedicated and hardworking citizens, knowing about the country's rich history, culture and ofcourse wildlife Safari ! For both me and my husband the countless number of Animal Planet and Discovery Channel episodes of Wildlife took life and suddenly broadened our horizon! Safari was an entirely new experience for us and we are sure we would like to engage in more such experiences in future. A large part of this credit goes to Earthlife Expedition!!! Special credit goes to our Travel Partner Paul from Earthlife Expedition who was the perfect host for us. It was the time around Christmas that we took this trip. Paul, had no regrets about being away from family. He made us his family and took care of every detail of our trip. Earthlife Expedition had detailed out our trip in quite an elaborate manner covering Tarangeri, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. Our Safari was ofcourse a success given we sighted the big 5 :D The stay was planned in high quality camps and lodges. Food was good in each of them. The staff at these lodges was welcoming and assuring of a safe stay even when we were in the middle of the jungle. We would highly recommend earthlife expedition to people who are planning to take Safari in Tanzania and nearby contries. We thank them for helping us create so many lifetime memories. We wish them all the best for a very bright future!I can’t imagine how our 9 day safari with EarthLife could have been any better. I can’t imagine how our 9 day safari with EarthLife could have been any better. Clean and comfortable accommodations, good and plentiful food, friendly staff, all was wonderful. But who made it the best was our guide, Jeff, the Lion. Knowledgeable, patient, humorous, an excellent driver, Jeff has it all. I can’t say enough superlatives about his abilities as our guide. Jeff is SUPER-B!!!We had a 5Star trip! This was our first safari, we were a group 2 couples, and our experiences really quite extraordinary. We had a 5Star trip! This was our first safari, we were a group 2 couples, and our experiences really quite extraordinary. We want to thank everyone at Earthlife, from our first contact Angel who promptly answered our many questions while deciding which company to use, to our last driver Casey in Zanzibar, but especially our safari guide, Joseph. Our itinerary included 8-day safari (Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) and 5 days in Zanzibar. Joseph is a driver-, spotter-, birder-extraordinaire, a lot of fun and he made the best coffee each afternoon! The truck was cleaned inside and out each night, he ensured we were all comfortable and involved, and even made lunch suggestions to the chefs. Thank you Joseph! You really made this safari the best! I thank you for all this time spend together and for all your efforts to help me to take wonderful photos. We will remember you forever! We did a 7 days trip and see Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara. All of the accommodations were wonderful in biutiful locations and we spent a really nice time after a day on the road. We loved the pools in Simba Tarangire Tented Lodge & Ngorongoro forest lodge, also the food was really good and the staff at each location we stayed were professional and very attentive. We had a wonderful experience in Tanzania, and enjoyed the sounds and the magic of this beautiful land, above all in our Serengueti lodges. We could see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, zebras… lots of wonderful animals! We particularly enjoyed our visit to a Massai village where we could see a little bit of their daily life and specially the little children at school. Really nice experience ! A group of 4 couples enjoyed a private 8 day safari planned and executed by Earthlife. We travelled to Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Our guides/drivers, Paul and Aggrey, were excellent! They were very knowledgeable about the areas and the animals that inhabit them. We saw thousands of animals, including all of the “Big 5”. Our guides were able to spot animals that we would not have noticed on our own. They were both very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Earthlife Expeditions.
