My partner and I did the jungle trek waterfall tour which was great fun. Some tough climbs but when you get to the top the waterfall is worth the trek. Chen was a great guide and had lots of information about the area and animals etc with which was great. Included in the trip was breakfast (Indian for us) , lunch (Malay) and dinner (Chinese) all the food we loved and definitely made part of the trip so you didn't have to worry about packing anything yourself. Overall a great tour to get out of the city and see the natural world of KL. The only thing that would have made it better for us was for there to be more people. As it was around Christmas and new year it ended up as a private tour but I think having more people makes it a little more interesting. I'd definitely recommend for anyone thinking of doing a similar trip whilst in KL.We booked a tour with Chen as a birthday treat for me. We booked a tour with Chen as a birthday treat for me. The booking process was really easy and Chen gets back to you really quickly, answering all questions. We were picked up at our hotel, a nice 6am start!! Then taken for breakfast in an authentic restaurant, once we’d eaten and packed our bags we went to the Jungle! We chose a relatively easy trek, up to a gorgeous waterfall, even though it’s rainy season the path was easy to navigate, although there are a few hills! Chen leads the way, stopping occasionally to give you more information about the plants and to identify the animal noises that you are hearing. What’s also great about Chen is that he takes the time to talk to you about Malaysia, the history of the country, society and also his own experiences in conversation. Once we reached the waterfall, we plunged into the pool- it’s cold! But we had it all to ourselves, after a swim and time to relax under the waterfall we ate our packed lunch. A delicious Nasi Lemak. On the way back to the van, you also get the opportunity to stop at another point on the river and relax in the much calmer waters, it was great! When we left Chen takes you back to his retreat, Serang, where you can clean up before dinner. Chen took us to another amazing, authentic restaurant, where we had a gorgeous Laksa. It’s also worth saying that I’m a veggie and all my needs were (literally!) catered for. Once dinner was over Chen took us back to the hotel. If you are looking for a fantastic jungle experience while staying in KL i really recommend Primal Wilderness!I was on my honeymoon in Malaysia and i had very little time to stay, i had many options to do like the samples that you see in every KL taxi. I was on my honeymoon in Malaysia and i had very little time to stay, i had many options to do like the samples that you see in every KL taxi. We are really so glad that we picked this trekking activities over other things to do. The trip was worth every second, was my first time to go for trekking, was challenging and friendly as well, the adventure started from chen picking us from the hotel in KL to take us to eat Indian breakfast (very simple and traditional nice food) then we went to his facility to get ready, he gave me everything i needed even his back bag so as i don’t wet mine. We then drove again to reach our start point, the experience in the jungle was new, to see tropical fruit in front of you and keep them their for the village people, or to see strange plants or how animals act in an open rainy forest. Like chen said we are going for shopping we will do a lot of walk to reach what we need to buy in the end. In the end of the walk we reached a lovely waterfall that there was no one their but us, we swam in it n took pictures and ate lunch Malaysian food that was really very nice, maybe also cause i was tired so i ate anything but it was really nice :) The way back was much easier, there was another river point to swim in as well, we saw people spending time just to take a picture of a butterfly, we saw village people working on the road to make it easier for tourists. The trip was really amazing and both of us me and my wife really loved it I highly recommend itI love this experience. Chen is a great guild.
