Malta Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour
Overview
Why You Should Get Onboard
Despite being in the midst of the ocean, Malta has been inhabited since 5900 BC. Possibly lured by the nearby natural harbors, people first arrived at Valletta, where the capital is now. This tour is especially perfect for you if you are just arriving on a cruise ship across the mediterranean sea.
Bus tour
Make the best use of the bus pass that allows you to jump on and off of the island's two bus lines, the North and the South, so you may fully explore the island during your stay. It's the ideal approach to get to know this beautiful place a little bit better with more than 30 stops spread out around the entire island. Here are the top three recommendations for your experience! The views of St. George's Bay are spectacular, so get off the bus at stop 11 and stroll around the Marina. A UNESCO World Heritage Site that contributes to the history and culture of this city is the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, which are located at bus stop 7. One of Malta's most well-known beaches, Golden Bay, is the last stop at bus stop 26. At this lovely location, bask in the sunshine and take it easy.
Coastal and Harbour Tour
Discover the city of Malta by sea by upgrading your ticket to include a boat tour as well. Follow the same coastal and harbor route that was possibly followed by the discoverer of the island. The Manoel Island in Marsamxett Harbour, which is home to the star-shaped Fort Manoel, is where the Harbour boat departs from the Sliema Ferry Terminal. Another notable landmark, Lazzaretto, is a quarantine hospital constructed on the island in the 16th century in response to a plague epidemic in the city. With various stops along the route, including the stunning Blue Lagoon, the Coastal boat takes passengers from Valletta to Gozo. Just like the Harbour boat, you can board and leave the Coastal boat as many times as you wish while your ticket is still valid.
