Lots of really cool lizards and turtles but the highlight was absolutely the pack of Capuchin monkeys who came close to see us. And it was such a treat to get off the boat and have such a yummy, authentic Costa Rican meal waiting for us. The guides were very professional and knowledgeable, and stressed the ecologically friendly nature of everything they do. The boat tour was very informative, and introduced us to a variety of rainforest wildlife and plant life. The guide spotted a tiny hummingbird nest at the end of a limb overhanging the river, and the one at the throttle got the boat right up to the branch so that the guide was able to take pictures for each of us of the tiny hummingbird in the nest. We also saw several Jesus Christ lizards on the bank, along with white faced monkeys and various types of birds. The tour of the farm and gardens was also beautiful and informative. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience for me and my wife.
