My husband Chris and I went on the Maria Island Cruise as part of our post-covid honeymoon trip around Tasmania. We were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the day! Mike and Zoe were both friendly and approachable, and knowledgeable (especially Mike’s knowledge of geology got my husband excited to learn more about rock formation!). The cruise was excellent, tour around Maria Island superb, and Mike and Zoe together made the day an incredible experience! Thank you Mike and Zoe! -Hannah and Chris AlfonsoAn outstanding day cruise to Maria Island and Ile Des Phoques Island, the whole day from 9:15 to 4:45, with an amazing commenters and insights into everything about the islands and surrounds. What a great day out. We started with a cruise to Seal island . A huge rock out in the ocean occupied by thousands of seals. there were several massive caves with very colourful rock walls. We entered 2 of the caves. Quite an experience. For lunch we were given a salad bowl with smoked salmon, beef or chicken. A beer or wine were included. On the way back we disembarked at Darlington on Maria Island. There were plenty tame wombats toddling about, got some great photos. Also there were several buildings from convict times. Skipper Michael was very knowledgable and provided good comentary. I can highly recommend this tour.We had a fabulous day out circumnavigating Maria Island and enjoying the guided tour around Darlington. We had a fabulous day out circumnavigating Maria Island and enjoying the guided tour around Darlington. Skipper Michael provided a fascinating explanation of the island's history and geology delivered in an easy to listen to, down-to-earth manner. No contrived humour or smarmy commentary - a trap so many tour operators fall into - simply an interesting, I'm here to tell it as it is interpretation. We really liked that. Morning tea (coffee plus some delicious slices) was followed by a very tasty prepared individual salad lunch washed down with a nice Darlington Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Zoey, our shuttle bus driver and boat lady was brilliant too. Nothing was too much trouble for our two guides. We can't believe this tour has been operating for sixteen years and we didn't know about it! It was an extraordinary day trip. Thoroughly recommendable. From pick up & bus trip with Clair. Boat trip with Mike his knowledge & expertise, exceptional. Food & wine delicious. Walk around island with Clair memorable. Definitely do it. Peter & Angela On
