Masai village Day Tour Experience
Overview
The Maasai community live in small mud-thatched villages, surrounded by their cattle and smaller livestock. For hundreds of years the Masai have roamed these lands of Kenya and Tanzania, living a free, nomadic lifestyle. Their traditional lands now comprise much of Kenya’s national parks.
A highlight of your safari vacation is a visit with these Maasai people. Many of the tribes welcome visitors to their villages to view up close their culture and lifestyle.
Part of the tour funds is directed to supporting the community where we visit.

Moses was an excellent guide. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but proud and energetic to explain the Masai culture and practices. The boma visited was authentic - meaning you are visiting a real family's home. The grandma was as sweet as can be, and the stroll to the stream where the cows are is a treat. The Masai cow and goat market happen to be open on the day I took the tour, and that was a priceless piece of today’s Masai life. Overall, I highly recommend Moses and the tour - especially if you have some extra time in Nairobi.Great experience. Our driver Obed was amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable and a great driver. He was so amazing that we booked him the next day to take us to the airport lol. The community was amazing. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend this experience.
