Very patient and calm instruction - by the third day, kids showed massive improvement and had worked down to a smaller board by the end. A special thanks to instructor Robert (aka Rob/Roberto) who was terrific with the kids and regaled them with stories as they waited for waves.Great experience and super helpful! The instructors were easy to talk to and helped me learned to surf! Would definitely go back!

I had not surfed for something like 5+ years (and hey, I wasn't anything special to begin with lol). Super rusty and lacking in confidence i decided to book into a beginners class. Our instructor (French Dude) sorted that out pretty quickly. I've picked up some bad surfing habits over the years however the instructor managed to iron these out (mostly, I've got some work to do) with his simple techniques. Am happy to say, I was up and away early on and loved every minute. Great experience with a good crew. I think I'm back in love with surfing. We went back to Noosa again this December and our 11 yr old boy took set of 5 learn to surf lessons with Merrick. We went back to Noosa again this December and our 11 yr old boy took set of 5 learn to surf lessons with Merrick. It was really great that Merrick and Anthony remembered him. We really love that even the advance groups go over the surf safety each lesson, at least for our son he needs to hear this again and again for it to sink in. It is also great that the boards are all foam with soft fins. If you really want to ride your hard board that is an option in a private small group lesson. The lessons are run in all conditions. Even if the waves are small, there was a lot of smiles at the end of the lesson between our son and his friends. For the advance group, Anthony had them on 11 foot boards in the small waves and had them trying out all sorts of tricks. The 2 hrs is a long time for most kids, be prepared for them to be exhausted at the end even if they are use to swimming a lot. All the instructors are truly passionate about surfing and getting people into to surfing, especially great at interacting with kids and teens. Merrick is in the water himself more often than not and he really has a way of making the kids feel special. For our son it was letting him use his 7 foot board. If you want to learn to surf in Noosa this is the number one surf school. Our Daughter Emily (8) has had a couple of lessons with Josh who was fantastic! He has been patient, encouraging, fun and given her some great tips so she is up and surfing. Thanks Merrick's Noosa learn to surf - we'll be back for more.
