We just got home from our wonderful trip to Italy. We did several LIVItaly Tours during our trip and enjoyed them all. We loved being in a small group (maximum size 6) and had some tours where it was just the two of us and our guide. All of the LIVItaly guides were well-spoken with excellent English skills (this was not the case on some of the other tours we took), In Milan, Barbara was our guide. We started out visiting The Last Supper and Barbara's detailed explant\ations made the story of the painting come alive. For this part of the tour we had a full group of 6. For the rest of the tour, it was just Barbara and two of us. We explored several other beautiful churches and learned the story of each and much about the history of Milan. Having a guide to ourselves is a special treat and allowred lots of questions and gave us a more personal experience. Barbara was great and, as we ended the tour at the Duomo, it felt like we were leaving a friend.pankaj d

Our guide,Lara, met us at the entrance, and, led us into the chapel to see the awe inspiring painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Her background in art history served to give us a lot of details on the painting, as well as the history of the building. The tour took a little over 30 minutes. After this, it turned out my wife an I were the only ones signed up for the walking portion of the tour. In essence, it turned out to be a private one, for us! Lara has extensive experience as a guide, showed us the hidden gem of the abbey of San Maurizio- another inspiring old building. She took us through the financial district, after we stopped at a very well known cafe, where we had the best cappuccino and desserts. The tour ended at the Duomo.
